Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
- 6 1/4 pounds tomatoes, crushed
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup onion, minced
- 1 Tablespoon oregano
- 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon basil
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Splash of red wine
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan set over low heat. Simmer at least one hour, or to taste and consistency.
